Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual or potential health problems and evaluate patient response to care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide health education and discharge planning to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of standards of care and professional practice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Current registration in New York State as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in telemetry or med/surg.
  • BCLS/ACLS certification required.
  • Special skills/experience may be required in specialized areas, such as remote telemetry, IV antiarrhythmic drugs, EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and chemo.
