Job Overview

A prominent manufacturer specializing in recycled rubber flooring solutions across North America is in search of an MRO Buyer/Planner to enhance their corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Sourcing: Identify and procure materials essential for the support of domestic manufacturing facilities, including MRO supplies, freight, capital equipment, and various services.
  • Supplier Management: Engage with suppliers to discover innovative strategies for cost reduction and lead time improvements. Negotiate freight contracts, including FTL, LTL, and intermodal options.
  • Quote Management: Initiate requests for quotes and establish supply agreements for items not already included in existing purchasing contracts.
  • Inventory Oversight: Supervise daily inventory functions and planning processes for production facilities.
  • Work Order Maintenance: Maintain and support work order logs and resource allocation as directed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other purchasing responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma is required; some college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess parts, materials, and components for compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing setting.
