Job SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team in Newport News, VA. As a Therapist for Children and Adolescents, you will work with individuals and families to assess their emotional and psychological needs and develop a treatment plan. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse population and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Meet with clients individually or as a couple or family to assess their emotional and psychological needs and develop a treatment plan
- Provide evidence-based therapies to children and adolescents, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy
- Collaborate with other clinicians and support staff to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in the field
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) or Licensed Therapist with experience working with children and adolescents
- Ability to work with a diverse population and develop a treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each client
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other clinicians
- Ability to maintain accurate records and document client progress
