Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a key advisor to the manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams, leveraging expertise in methods and materials to enhance cost efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization

  • Conduct thorough analysis of time, motion, methods, and plant layout to ensure effective capacity utilization and meet customer requirements.
  • Implement and refine manufacturing processes, systems, and materials while considering cost, time, ergonomics, quality, and quantity.
  • Support the design and development of innovative manufacturing processes and systems to achieve both short-term and long-term economic goals.
  • Document and communicate manufacturing changes and operating instructions to relevant personnel, providing training on new processes.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and ensure proper training for staff on equipment usage.
  • Monitor requisitions and purchase orders for necessary materials.
  • Update routing and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) as directed by management.

Problem-Solving Initiatives

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tools and processes.
  • Evaluate engineering designs to estimate manufacturing costs and identify potential design modifications for improved efficiency.
  • Prepare justifications for the acquisition of new machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installation and provide training to employees on proper operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
  • Familiarity with product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in Lean Manufacturing with Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Minimal travel required (less than 10%).
