We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a Pediatric Services Nurse, you will provide excellent patient care to patients in our Pediatric Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care units.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidenced-based and family-centered patient care to patients aged birth to 18 years in the Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Perform life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to interventions and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications correctly based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- Work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations.
- Educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures.
- Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and families; communicate with social service/discharge planner regarding both in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Experience as a RN with a passion for working with the pediatric population and their families.
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds.
