We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure the best coordinated care for pediatric patients.
- Perform various tasks, including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, and other specialized equipment.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- BLS and PALS certifications
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 10-20 pounds of equipment
