Pharmacy Technician Assistant

This position involves assisting in the preparation of medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist and helping with record-keeping and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiating the patient intake process and maintaining patient records in the pharmacy software system
  • Providing excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in written communication
  • Communicating with patients and healthcare providers to facilitate prescription filling and resolve issues
  • Managing insurance plans and resolving payor rejections
  • Operating the cash register system and ensuring positive customer experiences
  • Assisting in preparing medications, labeling, and stocking accurately
  • Maintaining compliance with FDA mandates and specialty accrediting bodies standards
  • Coordinating with couriers for prescription deliveries
  • Assisting in maintaining records and managing inventory
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in New York State
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification and any specialized certifications as required
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
