Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Baggage Handler to join our team at Bags, a SP+ Company. As a Baggage Handler, you will be responsible for sorting luggage for delivery to the appropriate resort or ship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload arriving luggage from the terminal and place it on the carousel for sorting
  • Scan luggage, load it into the correct cage for the Resort, seal the cage, and deliver the cage to the dock
  • Identify damaged luggage upon arrival, take any unreadable tags or non-tagged luggage to the Luggage Base, and loose load luggage for delivery to Port Canaveral
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a criminal background screening
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers and to communicate with customers and fellow employees. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stand; walk. The employee is also frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. In addition, the employee is required to twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
