Key Responsibilities:

The Home Loan Processor II role involves the meticulous ordering, collection, examination, and preparation of essential documentation for all residential mortgage loans. This position ensures that all loan prerequisites are met and that the loans adhere to credit union standards, regulatory requirements, and secondary market criteria. This role requires advanced knowledge and the capability to manage increased responsibilities beyond the Loan Processor I position.

Primary Duties Include:
  1. Assessing loan applications for precision, compliance, and completeness to ensure adherence to regulatory, lending, investor, and secondary market standards.
  2. Requesting appraisals, title commitments, tax transcripts, income verifications, government case numbers, and compliance reports.
  3. Communicating effectively with borrowers, loan officers, realtors, vendors, and operations staff to provide updates and manage outstanding items for a seamless closing process.
  4. Reviewing and fulfilling underwriting conditions.
  5. Evaluating appraisals, title policies, credit reports, and income documentation.
  6. Investigating supporting documents for inconsistencies to detect potential fraud or misrepresentation.
  7. Preparing and delivering re-disclosures in accordance with regulatory guidelines when changes occur.
  8. Coordinating loan closings, recording, and funding with escrow.
  9. Verifying signed closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  10. Executing post-closing tasks, including packaging and shipping investor loans.
  11. Managing daily workload to meet company timelines and lock expirations.
  12. Achieving minimum monthly performance goals set by management.
  13. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all credit union mortgage products.
  14. Ensuring compliance with risk management policies and performing duties safely and soundly.
  15. Understanding and executing Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities related to job functions.
  16. Participating in training sessions, conferences, or seminars as directed by leadership.
  17. Demonstrating a reliable attendance record and commitment to the role.
  18. Exhibiting professionalism and respect in all interactions, leading by example with integrity.
  19. Safeguarding sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  20. Willingly undertaking additional job-related projects and responsibilities as needed.

  4. Familiarity with loan origination software and electronic file management systems.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Willingness to travel for training and business needs.
  7. Valid Driver's License.
