About the Role

The Service Manager is a key position within Great Dane LLC, responsible for driving the performance and profitability of the service department. This role requires a strategic thinker who can maximize service requests and profitability for the branch service department through targeted sales and product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect and maintain all assets of assigned service department.
  • Create a plan to identify all potential service customers and develop long-term relationships with them.
  • Maintain customer service information based on customer needs and ensure customers have all necessary information on sales programs, including pricing, products, promotions, contracts, and special pricing.
  • Develop relationships with vendors and respond to customer needs with appropriate parts and service solutions.
  • Manage, coach, and train service employees to ensure they meet sales and DOP forecast.
  • Review and approve all service purchases and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies for the service department.
  • Monitor costs and expenses, and conduct safety activities for the service department, including audits, meetings, and training.
  • Manage and track all service work, including communication and coordination with vendors, shop foremen, end users, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma; college preferred.
  • Previous sales, service, and management experience.
  • Strong industry knowledge and excellent leadership, communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy and good organizational skills.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
