Job Summary

Martin Mack Fire & Safety Equipment is seeking a skilled Fire Safety Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, installing, and quoting portable fire equipment, as well as inspecting fire extinguishers and emergency lights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and implement NFPA standards for fire safety equipment
  • Perform semi-annual inspections on restaurant fire suppression systems and portable fire equipment
  • Install restaurant portable fire equipment systems as required
  • Complete inspection worksheets and other paperwork for customers
  • Verify proper fire extinguisher placement and identify non-compliant systems
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Respond to fire calls in a timely manner
  • Operate company vehicles safely and defensively

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time and long hours
  • Must live in the service area and be available for immediate hire
  • Pass background check and have a clean driving record
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Hand and power tool usage experience a plus
