Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of swim staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and achieve departmental goals.
  • Aquatic Operations
    • Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly pool maintenance to ensure a clean and safe pool environment.
    • Monitor and document water chemistry, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure excellent customer service and a positive experience for clients and their families.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Coordinate with the business office to manage swim department operations.
    • Produce and communicate monthly memos to the swim department.
    • Monitor and develop reports for the swim school, including workforce allocation and class enrollment.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., exercise science, education, or a related field).
    • Certifications in lifeguard training, first aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a swim-related role, preferably in a management or leadership position.
    • Proven track record of success in managing aquatic operations and staff.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
