Job Summary

Bon Secours is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Southside Physicians Network ENT & Allergy. As a Patient Registration Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patients are greeted and processed appropriately and routed to the appropriate testing area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately register and pre-register patients, including professional patient interviews, insurance verification, and computer coding.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and documented.
  • Oversee and prioritize bed placement needs to ensure prompt and appropriate placement of patients.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Support Services team to ensure seamless patient flow.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • One to two years of acute care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification/pre-certification, and benefits.
  • Ability to perform in multiple computer applications.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in ICD-9 coding preferred.
  • Proficient keyboard skills with an average speed of 40 wpm.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under considerable stress.
