Pathologist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Sonic Anatomic Pathology. As a Pathologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by preparing, grossing, and dissecting human tissue surgical specimens. Key Responsibilities- Prepare, gross, and dissect human tissue surgical specimens for examination by pathologists.
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions to ensure quality and safety.
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in all aspects of laboratory operations.
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Pathologist Assistant program from a NCCLS accredited institution.
- 1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types from simple to complex.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC.
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
