At Front Line Services, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Response Team Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a peer support specialist, you will play a vital role in providing direct support services to individuals and groups in the community, focusing on enhancing mental wellness journeys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to mental health-related crisis calls and provide peer support services, referrals, and linkage to community resources.
  • Provide individualized guidance, coaching, and support to clients.
  • Coordinate clients' use of other city programs and outside community resources.
  • Collaborate with city partners to provide outreach, engagement, prevention, and educational services.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with established standards.
  • Participate in team/departmental/city meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions.
  • Assist clients in increasing social support networks and advocating on their behalf.
  • Provide services in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or combination of years of experience.
  • Past or present consumer of mental health services with a history of managing one's own illness.
  • Awareness of the importance of wellness (recovery) in living with a mental illness.
  • Experience working directly with people in a service-oriented field is beneficial.
  • Active membership in a consumer advocacy or self-help group.
Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to talk or listen, stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and squat. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
