Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at KinderCare Education. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a team of teachers, implementing our curriculum, and creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coach Teachers: Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom, model behaviors, and provide feedback.
  • Implement Curriculum: Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a Safe Environment: Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner with Parents: Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Support Center Success: Support your center's success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate Relationships: Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Qualifications
  • Customer Service Skills: Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • Approved State Trainer: Approved state trainer (preferred).
  • Early Childhood Education Experience: 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • State Specific Guidelines: Meet state specific guidelines for the role.
  • Physical Demands: Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Communication Skills: Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Language Skills: Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
