We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Mission Regional Medical Center. As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from surgery, working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients in the PACU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Coordinate post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring timely and effective care transitions.
- Direct and guide other personnel, including nursing assistants and technicians, to maintain standards of care in the PACU.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services to maintain and improve patient care standards.
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
- Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on-the-job training.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
