The Export Coordinator - Ocean Export is a key member of our team at GEODIS Group, responsible for coordinating and executing shipments to ensure adequate service levels of clients are met. This position supports the company's day-to-day functions and is the direct liaison for assigned shipments.
Key Responsibilities- Receives and edits export orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepares all necessary documents, including commercial invoices, export declarations, certificate of origin, and letters of credit, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinates with vendors, government agencies, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Reviews and stays up-to-date on domestic and foreign trade regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provides clerical support, including sorting and distributing documents to team members.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in exportation of goods or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Letters of Credit and the movement of freight via ocean.
- PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Work, Access, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and mathematical skills essential for accuracy in pricing.
