Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer for New Product Development at HITACHI GLOBAL AIR POWER US, LLC is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electrical components and sub-systems for various electric compressor products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of electrical components and sub-systems within new product development projects.
  • Perform component selection and sizing in adherence with industry standards and regulations.
  • Generate three-phase motor and compressor control panel layouts and enclosure sizing.
  • Provide direction on the location of electrical components within compressor enclosures, as well as wire routing and clipping.
  • Create comprehensive machine-level wiring diagrams.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in product design.
  • Experience with three-phase motor control and variable speed drives.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling/CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Experience with SAP ERP/PLM systems and industrial rotating equipment.
