Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our Network Finance team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us make optimal investment decisions that drive the growth of our cloud infrastructure platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and finance leads to develop strategy and planning for investments in data centers, regions, and internet connectivity.
  • Lead process improvements and automation across Network Finance, partnering with finance and business teams to identify and deliver process improvements/automation to improve controllership for month-end close and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams across AWS to increase accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of Capex and Opex reporting.
  • Raise the bar on developing and retaining the best talent to continue building our world-class team of finance professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem-solving.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
