Job Title: Trust Accounting Associate

Join Creative Artists Agency, a leading entertainment and sports agency, as a Trust Accounting Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting information to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Match and apply cash receipts to payment lines on booking reports
  • Resolve cash receipts with insufficient information or that do not match the booking
  • Update bookings and client profiles for cash receipts as needed
  • Attach supporting back-up documents to payment lines
  • Correct misapplied receipts by carrying out processes such as refunds or transferring funds
  • Work with team members to resolve held checks or other Trust accounting issues
  • Trade and release funds from escrow on the appropriate dates for escrow deals
  • Closing paid in full bookings that meet certain criteria
  • Handle agent/client emails regarding cash receipt, processing corrections, reissues, or payment received
  • Coordinate activities with other Trust Accounting teams
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years Finance/Accounting experience
  • Experience reconciling accounts, statements, etc. and resolving discrepancies
  • Entertainment experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the company
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
  • Unimpeachable integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
Scope:

The scope of responsibility includes U.S. Trust Accounting for the Publications department.

Location:

This role is based out of the New York office; Hybrid.

Compensation:

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $25.00 - $30.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
