Job Overview

Baldwin Supply Company stands as the premier distributor of conveyor belting, mechanical power transmission, electric motors, and control products in the upper Midwest. We are seeking a seasoned full-time Conveyor Systems Technician with leadership capabilities to operate from our Hibbing branch.

The Hibbing area is celebrated for its close-knit community, picturesque landscapes, and abundant recreational opportunities, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle.

Our Conveyor Systems Technicians engage in a variety of tasks related to the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor systems. They work at client sites and in our Hibbing facility. Given the nature of our clients' operational hours, our technicians must be prepared for occasional on-call duties during nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client locations to install, maintain, and repair conveyor systems according to specifications.
  • Oversee and guide junior technicians.
  • Deliver outstanding service to all clients.
  • Utilize shop equipment to fulfill work orders.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding job statuses with both internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Comply with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Embody the values of Baldwin Supply Company.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in conveyor systems, including some supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, possessing a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
  • Capability to travel to client sites and work off-site as needed.
  • Comfortable working outdoors when required.
  • Must be open to joining the union and fulfilling union dues obligations.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.
