Bilingual Birth Companion

Kids Above All is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Birth Companion to join our team. As a prenatal, postpartum, and full-time birth doula, you will provide essential support to families in our Elgin office.

• Recruit and enroll families into our Doula and PAT home visiting programs, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support.
• Provide comfort measures and pain relief techniques during delivery, promoting a positive and safe hospital birth experience.
• Offer postpartum support to clients, addressing their emotional and physical needs, and equipping them with the necessary tools for a smooth transition.
• Conduct regular home visits to provide families with information on pregnancy, childbirth, child safety, and development, strengthening the parent-child relationship.
• Organize and maintain accurate records for children and families, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Assist families in locating programs that meet their basic needs, including employment, housing, daycare, and other state and local program assistance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred
• DONA trained and experienced in attending hospital births
• Must reside in Illinois

Alternatively, candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Science or a related field may be considered, provided they are willing to train as a DONA certified doula and have experience working with pregnant women and/or infants.
