Bilingual Birth Companion

Kids Above All is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Birth Companion to join our team. As a prenatal, postpartum, and full-time birth doula, you will provide essential support to families in our Elgin office.

• Recruit and enroll families into our Doula and PAT home visiting programs, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and information.
• Provide comfort measures and pain relief techniques during delivery, promoting a positive and safe hospital birth experience.
• Offer postpartum support to clients, addressing their emotional and physical needs, and equipping them with the necessary tools for a smooth transition.
• Conduct regular home visits to educate families on pregnancy, childbirth, child safety, and development, strengthening the parent-child relationship.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for children and families, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Assist families in locating programs that meet their basic needs, including employment, housing, daycare, and other state and local program assistance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English, with a strong preference for those who are fluent
• DONA training and experience as a trained DONA doula attending hospital births
• Residency in Illinois
