{"Job Title": "Accounting Assistant", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Assistant to join our Representative Payee Accounting Department at PMHCC, Inc.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide administrative and financial support to the Representative Payee Accounting Department
* Monitor RPAD email boxes daily for incoming voucher requests and print and distribute rent vouchers to the appropriate RPAD staff for processing
* Maintain files of paid invoices and respond to inquiries regarding the status of payments and voucher discrepancies
* Verify that participants have sufficient funds and approvals for voucher requests
* Process participant pharmacy, medical, utility, and miscellaneous vouchers as received
* Obtain approval from the RPAD Director before posting vouchers in the computerized accounting system
* Generate checks and ACH payments via the computerized accounting system and reconcile the scheduled payments against the bank transactions and internal tracking spreadsheets
* Import participant monthly income from the bank into the computerized accounting system and verify that the bank and accounting system totals agree
* Monitor the bank account transactions daily for additional deposits received outside of the monthly income cycle and assist in the preparation of deposit slips and supporting documentation
* Generate ad-hoc reports as needed or requested
* Organize transactional documents in the cloud storage application and ensure the filing is completed accurately and timely

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree or High School diploma or equivalency, with two (2) years of accounting experience
* Proficiency in using computers, including knowledge of Word and Excel applications
* Ability to work independently, be flexible, and adapt to changing priorities in a work environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good arithmetic computational skills
