Description

At Day Wireless Systems, we are seeking a skilled Radio Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, programming, and installing complex radio systems and 911 communications centers for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot 2-way radio wireless communication equipment issues with customers in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Perform diagnostic and analytical tests to diagnose and repair 2-way radio wireless communication equipment, including dispatch consoles, paging infrastructure, and trunked radio systems.
  • Analyze and comprehend diagnostic test results to repair and program radios and wireless equipment.
  • Work with customers to determine deadlines, urgency, timeline, and schedule of completing repairs, maintenance, and programming.
  • Provide technical information to assist in the preparation of quotes and bids.
  • Perform 2-way radio wireless communications system programming and installation.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years' experience in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational school in electronics and wireless system repair.
  • Experience in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and programming of wireless communication equipment.
  • Knowledge of radio repair, mobile installations, DC, AC, and RF Theory as it applies to wireless communications.

Licenses, Certifications:

  • Industry license (FCC, FICA or NARTE).
  • Valid driver license and insurability in the state of employment.
  • CET or NABER certification.
