About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant – Indirect Tax to join our team at Rollins, Inc. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of our indirect tax function, including Property Tax, Abandoned & Unclaimed Property, and Sales & Use Tax.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and timely submission of our personal property, real property, and abandoned and unclaimed property tax returns.
  • Utilize software to manage property tax data and generate reports.
  • Assist with the reconciliations of property tax and unclaimed property filings with our General Ledger and other supporting data.
  • Analyze and resolve tax notices related to sales and use, property, and unclaimed property.
  • Assist in the research, analysis, documentation, and response with respect to current indirect tax audits.
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of our current indirect tax process, including the evaluation of current processes and procedures to determine enhancement opportunities.
Requirements
  • BS in Accounting or related field, Master's in Tax preferred.
  • CPA or CPA eligible.
  • 1-3 years of prior public accounting experience or direct industry experience in property tax, abandoned & unclaimed property, and/or sales tax.
  • Experience preparing and filing Property Tax and/or Abandoned & Unclaimed Property Tax Returns.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to exercise a degree of initiative, problem resolution skills, and independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it.
  • Ability to identify and focus on key priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tax software, including PTS (property tax).
