Job Overview

Position Summary: The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing essential support under the guidance of nursing leadership and clinical providers. This position involves assisting with patient examinations, coordinating laboratory tests, and managing supplies for treatment areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the comprehensive examination of patients, ensuring a high standard of care.
  • Facilitate necessary laboratory testing and follow-up procedures for patients.
  • Order and maintain medical supplies for treatment areas to ensure efficient operations.
  • Exhibit knowledge of developmental principles to deliver age-appropriate care across all patient demographics, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Educational Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work across various Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Center locations.
  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certification from a recognized national credentialing body is encouraged for Medical Assistants.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems.

Work Schedule:

Available positions include Full-Time and Part-Time options with flexible scheduling:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Monday - Friday: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Weekend hours available on Saturday and Sunday
