Job Summary
Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in the Cardiology Stepdown Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with heart issues who are about to undergo procedures such as open-heart surgery and pacemaker implantation.

Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person greetings, welcome, and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
- Respond to patient call lights and make rounds to ensure patient needs are met.
- Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Provide wayfinding assistance and direct patients and families to available resources.
- Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
- Assist with unit clerical functions and troubleshoot equipment failures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role.
- Experience with typing, computer training, or equivalent coursework.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree.
- Microsoft Office experience.
Physical Requirements
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires frequent data entry, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing, and vision.
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
