Position Overview
This role encompasses the overall leadership and administration of the facility, focusing on achieving established objectives, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards, and maintaining financial and operational integrity while demonstrating effective leadership.
Resident Services Management:
Engages with residents and families to address needs and concerns promptly and accurately. Facilitates open communication regarding any necessary changes or issues within the care environment.
Responds to residents' physical and emotional needs, ensuring they are met by oneself or through collaboration with staff.
Promotes effective marketing and communication strategies across all service levels, ensuring accessibility and practicing active listening.Risk Management:
Delegates responsibilities for daily infection prevention and control activities. Provides necessary resources and information to support the infection control program. Establishes expectations for data collection and monitoring to manage infections effectively. Cultivates a culture of safety with scheduled inspections and necessary corrections. Ensures resident rights are upheld and that all stakeholders are informed of these rights. Maintains compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsible for implementing a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program, overseeing the management of QAPI initiatives and leading monthly committee meetings.
Facilitates access to information and resources to support quality assurance efforts.
The Administrator acts as the Compliance Liaison, supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in executing the Compliance Program.
Communication and Documentation Management:
Conveys ideas clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats. Seeks continuous feedback on performance. Communicates appropriately within the organization, ensuring timely completion of documentation and reports as per regulatory requirements. Clarifies assignments and seeks guidance when necessary, keeping supervisors informed and adhering to the chain of command for reporting issues.
Financial and Operational Oversight:
Collaborates with departmental teams and consultants to manage campus operations effectively.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred, ideally in healthcare administration, with coursework in business and human resources.
Experience requirements may vary based on location.
Licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice is mandatory.
Additional licenses may be required based on state regulations and facility needs.
