Vascular Imaging Specialist

As a Vascular Imaging Specialist at the University of Texas Medical Branch, you will work under limited supervision to provide advanced technical skills in the performance of non-invasive tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. Your responsibilities will include performing a full range of non-invasive vascular tests and related duties in patient care and academic/research environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of non-invasive vascular tests, including Doppler ultrasound and vascular imaging.
- Work with patients to understand their medical history and provide personalized care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular technology and best practices.
Requirements:
- Must meet one of the three following educational/experience requirements plus current BLS certification:
- Satisfactory completion of a formal vascular technology training program (1-4 years) must be registry eligible with application for current year.
- Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years) with 1 full additional year of full-time clinical experience in a dedicated vascular lab and registry eligible with application for current year.
- Approximately two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences with two years experience in a dedicated vascular laboratory and registry eligible with application for current year.
- Certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible with application in current year.
