About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Systems Engineer to join our team at Watts Water Technologies. As a key member of our Development Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of heat pump water heating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new heat pump water heating products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Aftermarket Services group, assisting with training and troubleshooting of heat pump products.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve product or service issues, providing on-site troubleshooting and support.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and development of heat pump water heating systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing development trainings and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Work closely with the Development Engineering Manager to prioritize projects and ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • BSME/BSEE or equivalent degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience working on product development teams for HVAC or refrigeration products.
  • Field experience in the heating or domestic water heating industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, communications, controls, and hardware.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the HVAC or commercial refrigeration industry.
  • Experience with natural refrigerants.
  • EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Technician Certification, Type II or Universal.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
