About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Watts Water Technologies. As a key member of our Development Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing innovative heat pump water heating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new heat pump water heating products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Collaborate with the Aftermarket Services group to provide training and support for heat pump products, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing of heat pump products, identifying and resolving issues to meet customer needs.
  • Work in our state-of-the-art laboratory to test and refine heat pump water heating systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing development trainings and workshops to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in product development for HVAC or refrigeration products, with a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Field experience in the heating or domestic water heating industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of communications, controls, and hardware, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the HVAC or commercial refrigeration industry, with a strong understanding of natural refrigerants.
  • EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Technician Certification, Type II or Universal preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
