Job Summary:

Selectek is partnering with a company located near Lithonia, Georgia to fill a Controls Engineer role. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to work on projects in paper and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and update PLC/HMI systems as needed
  • Calibrate, install and repair instrumentation and control valves
  • Work with the electrical maintenance department on any issues that require additional engineering support
  • Integrate transmitters for pressure level and temperature
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Oversee variable speed drive maintenance, changes, and troubleshooting including logic changes and hardware updates
  • Assess timelines, perform cost evaluations and return-on-investment research

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in automation and controls design
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or controls engineering
  • PLC programming and configuration using ladder logic and sequence of operation
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • HMI programming and configuration using FactoryTalk or Wonderware
  • Experience with boiler controls
  • Ideal candidates have significant AutoCAD or Revit design experience

Additional Information:

Candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client's request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation. The ideal candidate can deliver projects on aggressive timelines while emphasizing safety requirements. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, normal work hours. Some nights and weekend on-call rotations will be required.
