This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Pacific Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Region, Environmental Analysis Section.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing air quality related physical science data, preparing written material on technical air quality and environmental justice topics, and working in teams with people of differing scientific disciplines, backgrounds, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing air quality related physical science data
  • Preparing written material on technical air quality and environmental justice topics
  • Working in teams with people of differing scientific disciplines, backgrounds, and goals
  • Preparing written air quality analysis for environmental requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act
  • Developing recommendations and responses to legal and/or controversial issues related to air quality to senior management and the public
  • Receiving and/or dispersing grants and contracts
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Background/suitability investigation/determination
  • Federal payments made by Direct Deposit
  • Submission of all required documents and a completed questionnaire
