Job Summary:

The Security Officer is a critical member of the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and all others on hospital premises. Reporting to the Security/PBX Director, this role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Oversight: Work under the guidance of the Security/PBX Director to maintain a safe and secure environment within the hospital.
  • Security Protocols: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to prevent and respond to incidents.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a positive and secure experience.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize de-escalation techniques and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and incidents in a professional manner.
  • Training and Certification: Obtain and maintain SAMA de-escalation training certification within 120 days of hire.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly. Bilingualism is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous security and/or PBX experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Possess good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
