Requirements
- Completion of an approved nuclear medicine program.
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent body as recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
- Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their understanding of procedures.
- Operate medical equipment independently to complete imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Review patient images before transmission to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
