About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at the University of California - San Francisco. This role will oversee research financial operations, ensuring compliance with governing policies and procedures.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will manage a designated part of the research financial portfolio, establishing and aligning procedures and processes with departmental and UCSF financial requirements. This includes applying skills and knowledge to other externally funded projects, ensuring asset protection and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage research financial systems and execute departmental procedures
  • Provide analytical, operational, and financial support for research proposal processing, contract and grant administration, budget development, and closeout activities
  • Supervise Senior Financial and Grants Analysts and Research and Grants Finance Analysts
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Expert knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems
  • Ability to identify, collect, analyze, and report on complex data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management, leadership, and process re-design skills
  • Expert ability using multiple spreadsheet and database software tools

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $136,000 - $222,100 per year. The University of California, San Francisco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including total compensation details available at https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html.
