We are seeking a dedicated Child & Family Therapist to enhance our team.

Position Overview:

Sea Mar Behavioral Health in Tumwater, WA is looking for a full-time Child and Family Therapist who will be responsible for delivering individual and/or family therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and group therapy. This position involves collaboration with educational institutions and various healthcare professionals, as well as creating tailored treatment plans for mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Assist in the development of policies
  • Provide education to staff regarding mental health service referrals
  • Maintain precise documentation of mental health services

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning
  • Deliver age-appropriate therapeutic care
  • Engage family members in the treatment process
  • Collaborate with other professionals for assessments and treatment
  • Refer clients to appropriate services
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and support staff

PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS

Achieve a minimum of 80 face-to-face interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Behavioral Health Organization contracts
  • Proficient in mental health diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment
  • Completion of annual clinical competency assessments
  • Must pass a background check

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work
  • Licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work
  • Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License
  • Child Mental Health Specialist credential
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and working with children
  • Proficiency in Cerner, MS Office, and medical software
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are advantageous
