Job Summary

The Electric Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the Electric Project Management Section and ensuring the efficient operation of the distribution systems. This role involves directing and supervising a team of engineers and technicians, as well as managing construction projects and maintaining the Geographical Information System (GIS)/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Outage Management System (OMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise the Electric Project Management Section
  • Oversee the overall performance of the distribution systems
  • Manage construction projects and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain the GIS/SCADA/OMS system and ensure its optimal operation
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Electric Project Management Section
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the distribution systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in power distribution
  • Experience in electric metering, switching operations, coordination, protection schemes, and engineering software
  • Knowledge of CONVEX operating instructions 6401/6501 and NERC/FERC/NPCC standards
  • Ability to work within the work order system and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Experience in electrical engineering, bid preparations, and evaluations
  • Knowledge of Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) control circuits
  • Experience with distribution equipment and computer systems
