We are on the lookout for a friendly and engaging Barista who possesses a genuine passion for food and beverage preparation and education. The Barista will be responsible for welcoming customers, addressing inquiries, processing orders, handling payments, and preparing and serving a variety of food and beverages. Additionally, you will ensure a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, refresh displays, and continuously enhance your understanding of food and beverage quality standards, preparation techniques, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers warmly, informing them about special offerings or new products, responding to questions, and processing orders and payments.
- Preparing food items, such as sandwiches or baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving products to customers.
- Selling coffee and tea blends along with brewing equipment, explaining the distinctions between products, and educating customers on brewing techniques.
- Maintaining cleanliness and restocking the work and dining areas, disposing of trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Acquiring knowledge about brewing techniques, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation methods to enhance food quality.
- Conducting inventory checks and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
- Collaborating as part of a dynamic, high-energy team.
- Complying with all food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service.
- Previous barista experience is preferred.
- Availability to work during peak hours, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- A commitment to ongoing learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Excellent listening and communication abilities.
- Dedication to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- A friendly and engaging demeanor.
