About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Group Exercise Instructor to lead our Zumba classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment that encourages members to reach their fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-energy Zumba classes that cater to diverse age groups and abilities.
  2. Maintain a safe and inclusive class environment by enforcing safety procedures and promoting good behavior.
  3. Collaborate with participants to build relationships and increase class attendance.
  4. Develop and maintain lesson plans for substitute instructors.
  5. Take class attendance on a daily basis.
  6. Support the development of a positive and inclusive community within the Y.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of group exercise instruction and ability to keep cadence with music.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain YMCA Group Fitness Instructor certification and CPR certification within required timeframes.

Compensation: $15 - $16 per hour
