Position Overview:

The role of a Radiologic Technologist is crucial within our imaging department. This position involves assisting radiologists in capturing detailed images of the human body using advanced imaging techniques. The primary responsibility is to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process while delivering high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Verify patient identity through multiple forms of identification.
  • Guide patients into the correct positions for imaging to achieve accurate results.
  • Maintain meticulous records of patient information and imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to assist in the interpretation of images.
  • Implement safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Conduct quality checks on images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the ARRT.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • New graduates are welcome, provided they meet clinical hour requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting.
