Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
  • Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure production of quality images
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam
  • Perform exams per department protocol
  • Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
  • Complete studies within acceptable time limitations
  • Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate with other patient care providers
  • Practice infection control and sterile techniques
  • Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures performed
Requirements
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support certification
  • IV - IV Certification
  • Relevant state licensure
  • 1-2 years of CT experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

  • See and read information, labels, and assess patient needs
  • Operate monitors and identify equipment and supplies
  • Verbal communicate and hear and understand spoken information
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
  • Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
