We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
- Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure production of quality images
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam
- Perform exams per department protocol
- Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
- Complete studies within acceptable time limitations
- Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort
- Coordinate patient care and communicate with other patient care providers
- Practice infection control and sterile techniques
- Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures performed
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification
- IV - IV Certification
- Relevant state licensure
- 1-2 years of CT experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting
The ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- See and read information, labels, and assess patient needs
- Operate monitors and identify equipment and supplies
- Verbal communicate and hear and understand spoken information
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
- Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
