GeorgiaGov is looking for qualified candidates for the role of Social Services Professional / Hourly Social Worker. This hourly position is designed for individuals who can commit to an average of 29 hours per week and is not eligible for State benefits.

Position Overview
The selected candidate will act as the main discharge planner for clients who have experienced prolonged hospital stays. This role entails connecting individuals with vital community services and resources, conducting thorough assessments and referrals, and collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary recovery framework.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates who meet the following criteria will be given preference:
· A Master's in Social Work (MSW) is required, with eligibility for licensure.
· Experience in supporting individuals with Mental Health challenges and/or Developmental Disabilities.
Employment Conditions
To safeguard the health and safety of our staff and the communities we serve, certain roles within GeorgiaGov may necessitate evaluations, vaccinations, professional licenses, and certifications. All licenses must be valid and allow practice within the State of Georgia.
The following evaluations and vaccinations may be required for employees, including those not directly involved in care:
- Drug Screening
- TB Evaluation
- Annual Influenza Vaccination*
*Exemptions may be granted for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs opposing vaccinations.
Please note that this position may close once a satisfactory pool of applicants has been established.
