POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Contributes to the successful completion of designated engineering programs and initiatives.
  • Develops solutions for a range of complex engineering challenges.
  • Engages in comprehensive systems design, development, and integration throughout the entire systems life cycle.
  • Manages intricate infrastructure, including the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Conducts advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Creates and maintains documentation for processes and procedures associated with engineering projects.
  • Stays updated on rapidly evolving technologies.
  • May mentor and provide guidance to junior professionals.
  • May act as a team or task leader.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Linux system administration.
  • Experience in scripting or coding (Bash, Python, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge in one of the following areas, along with a working understanding of others:
  • Kubernetes
  • Ansible
  • Helm charts
  • Operational support experience
  • Automation
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Ceph storage platform
  • GitLab
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen due to legal obligations.
