Position Overview
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Coordinate, implement, and assess clinical research trials, studies, and projects.
- Guide the formulation of research protocols.
- Recruit and evaluate potential study participants, providing education to patients and their families as needed.
- Manage financial accounts to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Conduct patient assessments, administer medications and research tools, and deliver nursing support for specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
- Refer to in-house or community professionals and act as a clinical resource.
- Gather data, assist in the creation of data collection systems, and compile reports.
- May perform infusion duties.
- Aid in drafting research grants, publications in medical and nursing literature, study materials, brochures, and correspondence.
- Provide leadership and potentially supervise other Research Nurses or support staff.
- Carry out related responsibilities as necessary.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:
Employees in this role may be required to engage with potentially hazardous agents and take necessary precautions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia and possess three years of relevant nursing experience.
- Credentialing through Emory Healthcare as an RN II is required.
NOTE:
This position is primarily in-person at an Emory University location, with remote work options subject to departmental discretion. Emory reserves the right to modify remote work status with notice.
