Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team as a supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in supervising nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with RNs to ensure high-quality patient care and supervise nursing staff.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in directing and coordinating the Nursing Services Department.
  • Schedule and assign nursing staff as needed to meet departmental needs.
  • Maintain high standards of nursing care and practices within the facility.
  • Support nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as needed.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Provide information to residents and the healthcare team.
  • Maintain documentation of resident care services.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned, such as passing medications if needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current and valid license as a LPN in the state of New York required.
  • A minimum of 1-year LPN/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong assessment and interpersonal skills.
  • Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion.
  • Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred.
  • Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
