Behavior Specialist

The Center for Social Dynamics is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Specialist to join our Virtual Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis programs in a telehealth/virtual setting.
- Conduct scheduled sessions, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated to the clinical team that they would not like for the hours to be provided.
- Responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain the productivity margin if a session is cancelled by the family.
- Coordinate and conduct make-up sessions when canceling their own sessions.
- Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Support Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and/or other clinical staff.
- Render completed sessions daily and write thorough notes per CSD's cancellation policy when changes occur.
- Communicate schedule changes and cancellations to clinical team immediately.
- Participate in regular meetings and promptly communicate with Clinical Leaders via email and phone, regarding Treatment Plans and Behavioral Support Plans, family concerns and questions.
- Fulfill the timely completion of necessary clinical documentation and communication of: Daily Treatment Session Notes, Daily Treatment Target Data, Daily (If applicable) Behavior Data, Monthly Session Plans.
- Ensure parent participation during sessions as deemed necessary by the Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and per the Treatment Plan.
- Under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader, provide parents with tools and materials to ensure the generalization of skills and the modification of challenging behavior.
- Keep updated with other site-related documents and current clinical reports for each child served.
- Remain current regarding new research, current trends and developments in special education and related fields.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ months of experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
- Telehealth/Virtual Experience Preferred
- Flexible availability - high demand for time Monday through Friday 3-8PM PST
- Complete new hire training conducted online and in person.
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally and economically diverse population.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
- Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.
