Job Summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pain Management Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' medical histories and current conditions to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on pain management and treatment options
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure patients are receiving optimal care
  • Document patient information and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Minimum one to two years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in pain management or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
